Heat the water, sugar and raspberries in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes Remove from heat and lightly crush the raspberries with a spoon.
Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a cup and set aside. It can be store in the fridge for up to a week.
Combine the vodka, raspberry syrup, triple sec and lemon juice in cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with some raspberries
Notes
Place the martini glass in the freezer for an hour so it keeps your martini chilled.
Fresh raspberries are best, but you can use frozen as well.
Don't skip straining the syrup or you will have lots of seeds in the drink.
You will probably have some leftover raspberry syrup, so you can just store in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
If you want even moreraspberry flavor, use Chambord, which is a black raspberry flavor liqueur.
