Ingredients

Raspberry Syrup

  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh raspberries

Martini

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz raspberry syrup
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • raspberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the water, sugar and raspberries in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes Remove from heat and lightly crush the raspberries with a spoon.
  • Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a cup and set aside. It can be store in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Combine the vodka, raspberry syrup, triple sec and lemon juice in cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with some raspberries

Notes

  • Place the martini glass in the freezer for an hour so it keeps your martini chilled.
  • Fresh raspberries are best, but you can use frozen as well.
  • Don't skip straining the syrup or you will have lots of seeds in the drink.
  • You will probably have some leftover raspberry syrup, so you can just store in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
  • If you want even more raspberry flavor, use Chambord, which is a black raspberry flavor liqueur.
