Blood Orange Martini

This martini made from fresh blood orange juice, vodka and triple sec tastes just as delicious as it looks.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz blood orange juice
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • ½ oz honey
  • blood orange slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine vodka, blood orange juice and triple sec in cocktail shaker with ice. Microwave honey for 5 seconds and add to shaker.
  • Shake for 20 seconds and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with blood orange slice.

Notes

  • Place the martini glass in the freezer for an hour so it keeps your martini chilled.
  • Freshly squeezed juice makes all the difference.
  • Make sure you heat the honey so it mixes easily.
  • You can substitute honey with with simple syrup.
  • If you want even more citrus flavor, use citrus vodka.
