Ingredient Notes
- Vodka - use quality vodka like Grey Goose or Belvedere. While it's called vodka sunrise for a reason, you can also try rum or bourbon.
- Orange juice - you can freshly squeeze your oranges or just use store-bought orange juice. You can also try grapefruit juice or even pineapple juice.
- Grenadine syrup - a popular pomegranate flavored syrup used in many cocktails and what adds the reddish/pink hue.

FAQs
You get a bright/citrusy taste. The sweetness of the grenadine complements the tang of the orange juice.
By using vodka, it blends in easily with the flavors of the orange juice and grenadine syrup.
Most grocery stores/liquor stores carry it but you can also make your own which uses pomegranate juice, sugar and lemon juice.
If you are expecting friends or family you can prepare in a large pitcher. Just use 1 cup of vodka for every 2 cups of orange juice.
Wait until the very end to drizzle in the grenadine.
Pro Tips/Recipe Notes
- If you want even more citrus flavor, use citrus vodka.
- Add more or less grenadine to reach your desired level of sweetness.
- After adding the grenadine syrup, do not mix or you will muddle the colors too much.
